One great example of how CCTV security systems can help bring criminals to justice was shown in Leeds recently. A regular customer of a betting shop in Leeds, helped foil an attempted hold–up and the whole incident was captured on the company’s CCTV Security System.

The CCTV footage shows the burglar entering the bookmakers in Leeds holding what the customer thought to be a handgun. After threatening the bookmakers cashier, the burglar tries to leave the bookmakers, but his escape is blocked by the customer, who hit him with a chair and held him to the ground until the police arrived.

The customer stated he thought he was going to be shot, so he “hit him (the burglar) twice with a chair”. This CCTV footage can now be used as evidence helping the court case against the burglar.
